Meeting notes from February Meeting

When we had our February meeting we had a wonderful turnout! The weather was wonderful which I am sure helped with the turnout of the meeting. The place was packed! Our club president brought one of his tractors, his 1949 John Deere model G, and parked it out in front of the church we were meeting in. I am sure it raised some eyebrows of the people driving by. We discussed a wide variety of things at the meeting lot's of them being dates of events we want to have or participate in this year. We talked about the Garrettsville, OH tractor parade which is part of their summer fest which is typically towards the end of June. We also discussed the annual The Tuscarawas Valley Pioneer Power Association Inc. Dover Steam Show, this is held during the 3rd full weekend in August, this year that will be August 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2016. We talked about going to the Lousiville, OH Constitution Day Parade as well.

The biggest event that we talked about quiet a bit is the Ohio Two Cylinder Club Expo IX. The Ohio Two Cylinder Club is holding its 2016 expo show at the Wayne County Fairgrounds at Wooster, OH. This will be June 16-18, 2016. We are planning on having as many members as possible go and take equipment. They are going to have lots of events going on there and it is going to be a fun time. They are looking for people to help out and to exhibit there. More information is available on their website:

All of the events we are talking about are family friendly and open.

Another event that we talked about was our spring plow day, and more information about that will be posted shortly, so stay tuned. We also had one of our members Sam, working on a project event, he updated us on all of the information and we are looking at dates. His idea is a 15 mile tractor ride out in Lisbon, OH with a picnic lunch at a local park. It is a wonderful idea and he put alot of time and effort into coordinating it, so thank you Sam!
