We are really looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow (SATURDAY April 23, 2016) at our 25th Annual Spring Plow Day!
It is at the fields across from the Portage County Regional Airport in Shalersville, Ohio on State Route 44. We will have a loader tractor available to unload plows that need help unloading. Anyone needing a loader to get a plow off can pull into Vogelsang Drive which is the actual road into the fields and directly across from Nanway to get unloaded there. We will use a couple of the experienced plowmen to help layout the land first thing in the morning. Members need to bring a covered dish, chairs (tables if you want), a plate and utensils for the meal. We will provide a generator to plug crockpots into, and canopies to sit under, along with drinks and coffee, we also will have a porta-potty there as well. We will have a wagon to haul people around on to go out into the field to watch the plowing. Parking will be on Nanway Boulevard which is the road in and out of the airport across from the field. You can turn into Nanway and drive up to the first building on the airport grounds and turn around and head back out towards St. Rt.44 parking on the right side of Nanway. We need to leave one lane (the left side) open for airport traffic, and life flight which use the airport as a loading site. Spectators are welcome any time but the field action wont be full swing till approximately 10am. Official members, we look forward to seeing you all bright and early, but those of you traveling far, don't rush, drive safe! We are so excited for the great day we have planned.
